Introduction
Construction of surge arrester
Lighting Arrester consists of two arc gaps and a non-linear register in terms of structural demonstration.Lighting arresters are kept with one end load and the other end earthing.
What is Lighting Arrester Non Linear Resistance is usually temperature dependent.That is, when the temperature rises, the resistance decreases and when the temperature decreases, the resistance increases.
When there is a surge on the line, the temperature in the line increases and the resistance of the non-linear resistance of the lighting arrester decreases.Utilizing this property of non-linear resistance, the lighting arrester can bring the surge into itself and ground it.
Other normal times when the voltage is limited with line voltage the line temperature is low . It means surge arrester only works when surge comes in line.
Surge can come in line all the time. This surge arrester is kept in regular maintenance to protect other devices from damage.
But sometimes surge arresters can damage other devices on the surge line due to lack of maintenance for some reason. The surge arrester diagnose device is used for this maintenance problem and Protect other device from surge.
Surge arrester also use as a diagnose device continuous monitoring and recording the data amount of surge comes in line and predicting the surge arrester damage internal part automatically alert to operator for maintenance.

It can detect surge temperature, line voltage , leakage current , humidity and predict the data if any abnormality in surge arrester then send an alert signal through IOT network to the control room.
Control room informs the maintenance team. Speciality of IOT based diagnostic device for surge arrester is the whole system does not need any external power supply and signal send are received via wireless connectivity.
